We had it once

I am sure that most of you have by now heard the saga of the Time Capsule planted by the class of 1967.  The class planted a capsule at the old High School about 20 years ago at one of their reunions.  About two weeks ago it was dug up when they did some plumbing work at the school.  They published an article in the local paper and the Reunion Committee started a campaign to see if we could get it and at least copy or scan some of the documents and photos and put them on this blog.

Johnny Smith (65) heard about it and asked his wife, who is a teacher at the school to check it out.  She was able to get the Time Capsule and Johnny called me to come pick it up.  By the time I got over there to pick it up, the school had called and they needed to inventory the contents.  I took it back to the school and she kept it telling me that she had to turn it over to “Central Office” and gave me a number to call.  I called and they haven’t called me back as of today 6/12/2009 but I still have hopes.

As least we had it once.
